Dear Friend,
I am writing to ask for your support of the 2011 citywide commemorative program in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each year the volunteer members of the Coalition plan and present activities which include a memorial march to Music Hall and a program of thoughtful words and music. The non-profit Coalition’s mission is to strengthen the diverse human community through the promotion and practice of non-violence and understanding.
Volunteers have already begun planning of January’s program. This peaceful and inspirational event traditionally attracts thousands from all backgrounds and faiths. Coalition members are very enthusiastic about the upcoming program. The 2011 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day march and program will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011. Our program theme is, “Walk the Journey! Pass the Torch! Embrace the Dream!” The commemorative walk will start at The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center (10:30 a.m.) proceed to Fountain Square for the traditional program and then to the Memorial Program at Music Hall. If you have any questions about the walk or program please call 513.230.5235.
We invite you to join us in 2011 by purchasing a tax-deductible ad for the handsome souvenir booklet. Your ad will reach thousands of people from all parts of the community. Our program is supported in part by the City of Cincinnati, but we depend heavily on contributors like you to cover printing and other costs of the event.
Please support the important work of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition. Let the community know that you believe in Dr. King’s dream of building a non-violent, unified future for all people. Complete and return the enclosed information sheet with your contribution, and mail or email your ad copy no later than December 3, 2010. Please see the ad form for important information about ad sizes, costs, and email formats. If you have questions or would like more information, please call Ad Book Chair Nina Jackson at 513-238-8011.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,

Bishop E. Lynn Brown
President
