MLK COMMUNITY SERVICE CHALLENGE

“INDIVIDUALS DIVISION” RULES

Individuals not connected with a registered group may also participate by having their hours combined with others to see how many hours in the “Individuals Division” can be accumulated. There will not be awards for the “Individuals Division,” but the total number of volunteers hours will speak volumes to all the good work happening in the area.

  • 1. Volunteers must take a copy of the volunteer form found on the website with them at the time of service.
  • 2. Volunteers should inform the not-for profit that:
    • a) They are volunteering as part of this call to service
    • b) The volunteer and not-for-profit volunteer coordinator should complete the Volunteer Form
    • c) Each week a representative from the not-for-profit should submit either via email, or phone the volunteer’s time and to the MLK designees. The contact information for the MLK designees for the Adult and Youth Divisions is located on the Registration and Volunteer Forms. “Individuals Division” service hours can be reported to the Adult and Youth Divisions designees.

The MLK designees will keep track of the service time donated. Look for periodic challenge updates on our website.

On MLK Day, January 16, 2012, Service Challenge awards and recognition will be presented at the MLK birthday celebration at Music Hall. Service hours performed in the Individuals Division will be accumulated and reported as a total to demonstrate all the good work that is being done in greater Cincinnati.

Take pictures of you and your family volunteering. Have fun!
